Plan Non-Renewal Notices Mailed to Medicare Advantage Members
Applies to Medicare Markets
BCBSMT will no longer offer Individual Medicare Advantage plans, effective Jan. 1, 2027.
Starting this week, we're mailing a plan non-renewal notice to Medicare Advantage members. The notice informs members that their plan will end on Dec. 31, 2026, and directs them to contact their broker for assistance.
What Members Need to Know
To avoid a gap in coverage, impacted members should choose a new plan during the Annual Enrollment Period, which runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7, 2026.
Members who do not make a plan election during AEP may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) from Dec. 8, 2026, through Feb. 28, 2027.
